THE GOVERNMENT OF ARMENIA WILL SUPPORT THE BROADENING OF INVESTMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE COUNTRY", STATED THE PM OF ARMENIA ANDRANIK MARGARIAN.

14.06.2000, MEDIAMAX, YEREVAN. The government of Armenia will consistently continue the policy of reforms, stated the Prime Minister of Armenia Andranik Margarian at the meeting (held on June 13) with the accredited in the country foreign diplomats.
According to the premier, the top priority task of the government is the strengthening democracy and the authorization of the institutions forming the civil society.
Andranik Margarian separately noted the support which the international community rendered to Armenia during the transition period.
The premier noted that although Armenia managed to get out of the domestic political crisis connected with the tragic events of October 27, 1999, "the negative consequences are not completely overcome yet".
The premier stressed the importance of the further development of economic relations between Armenia and foreign countries. According to him, the realization of foreign credit programs, the support to investments, the activization of bilateral trade will promote the settlement of the main problems of Armenia. The government is ready to render any assistance to the investment activities in the country, it will create favorable conditions, legal field and trade regime, stressed the head of the cabinet of ministers.
On behalf of the accredited in Armenia diplomatic corps spoke the Ambassador of France in Armenia, Michele Legra. Wishing the premier success on his post, Michele Legra on behalf of his colleagues asserted the readiness to support the realization of the programs of the government, connected with drawing foreign investments in particular. -0-
