You meant to say "Yayah"? Some use it to mean grandmother or an elderly lady.Can someone tell me what "ayah" means--is it grandmother or just an affectionate term?

Well, I know to Greeks it is YiaYia but my father and aunts pronounced it without a "y" sound at the beginning like eye-ahh but I know it was with the utmost of affection so this is most likely the word you are using.You meant to say "Yayah"? Some use it to mean grandmother or an elderly lady.
