Armenak Jan I think "pushman" means regrets and not sad
Also trash means "zibil" not teneke but trash can is zibil tenekesi
Consider the so called Armenian surmame Tenekeji...whatever the F..ian. I had very dear classmate by that (sur)name.
As I said, we will treat each and every of these words one at a time.
Since you picked “teneke”… let’s see.
Yes, it means container, tin can, if you will, in this case “container of trash” the word is a corruption “tank”, once again, container. A teneke is a measure (5 gallons), still used in the ME to measure petroleum products and other, be it benzin or kerosene/karyugh.. The word may also be used as an insult, just like “parap takar”, empty barrel. It makes the most noise. Just as this forum is not immune of the likes.
Who me?

In the Armenian it goes; “Yes dzayn tvogh tsnghayi pes…”
In the Arabic there are other words that are used as insults at times. Like the word “kele” , which in fact is a measure of volume , yet loosely mening a (tin) can, just as the Turkish “shapshakh/kunt“ (I deliberately substituted K for C to evade our intrepid censors). The reason for that is that the (tin) can is at times used to carry water to that place in the Mosque to cleanse oneself, I don’t want to be more graphic. I have heard some Armenians address one another as “yibrik, from the Arabic “ibreek”, that improved container of water with a spout that is also taken to that spot in the Mosque to “cleanse” oneselve‘s private parts .
