Yes.....they should just face it....this monstrocity belongs in the zoo and not in the public limelight. If they lock it up for good, we can forget the whole episode and elect a new one. :P

....which propelled another idea in my head, namely having our own Armenian forum beauty contest. I will volunteer (I'm gamavor after all) to provide her with room and boarding for a month. :P

Yep! And I will be Nairis manager. :)

BTW! What is wrong with the above lady? I think she is not as bad as acc. claims she is.

OK, maybe she has a good personality...

But Acc, the "Quick!...someone!....kill It!.....aaaahhh!", all I have to say is ROTFLMAO.

Domino,

Given that some of the Armenian models shown in the websites posted in this forum are TRULY beautiful, don't you think that there was a VERY strong political pull which caused this NOT VERY beautiful woman to be chosen as Miss Armenia this year? This is the best face ROA has to show the world? P..L..E..A..S..E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hagarag, I have not said that she is a masterpiece in term of beauty. I simply said that she is not ugly.

I never agreed with beauty contests, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Each individual has his tastes... what you find a beautiful firl now, could be found very ugly in years to come. Beauty is imposed by society.

That should have no (or little) bearing in a beauty contest.

beauty is in the eye of the beholder

I agree, but even if the face is questionable, she should at least have a pleasant smile to be the winner......it seems like, since the 2001 contest the mouth are getting larger and eyes further apart.....terrible.

I simply said that she is not ugly.

She is.

Dude, we were wrong?!? :P

OK! First question. How far the jury was situated from the podium. Second question. Who the hell was the photographer. Third question. Should the jury take under consideration how photogenic the object (subject) is?
I want to see the other contestants.

Bottom line: Who is her father? How much money does he have and how many political connections does he have? Therein lies your answer.

Hagarag, you intentionally avoid the crucial question, whether she had physical contact (such as in the Yerevan public transportation :) ) with members of the jury?

Here are the rest of the competitors (click on thumb for more pics, info etc.) I cant believe this is the best Armenia can offer, there were (much) better girls walking around Yerevan....

btw. this years winner is the sister of the Miss 2001 (no comp held in 2002), absurd.

Gamavor,

If THAT is all that is needed to win the Miss Armenia title, I am sure that there are more beautiful women in Armenia with loose morals who could have BOUGHT the title in that manner. No Sir, Mr. Gamavor, the title was bought with BIG BUCKS and influence, in an amount that the more beautiful women or their families were not able to reach. The fact that her sister had won in a previous year clarifies this. What a shame.
