You can never go wrong with hitting the beach ... just take a couple of blankets and sleeping bags and head over to Zuma. When you get to Zuma, the part behind the hill (east of the actual beach) is excellent and you can park there till midnight. Otherwise you can just park along PCH and walk over to the beach. I've spent many nights there and it can be a great place to create a bit of intimacy with your special someone (plus it's free!).
Some nights you can just go walk around the UCLA campus ... maybe get something to eat around westwood. There's a great cookie place accross the street from BJ's.
One day you guys may want to go hit up the Ghetto Center (aka Getty Center).
I could through out some more ideas maybe but it really depends on what you both like. If you're not both much into driving I probably won't be of much help.

Take an art class together.
Give each other a manicure.
Study the Gospel together.
Walk down a busy road eating M & M's and wave at the cars that are the same color as the M & M you just ate.

By the way, as far as hitting the beach, having an SUV with a folding back seat and a tail gate is a HUGE advantage in this case. Emil, I'm not sure if the back of yours flattens out but if it does, then don't be shy to use it! It's much better than any back seat!

Nonsense! Half the fun of the back seat is fitting into it. Granted for 'bigger' people it wont be pleasant and so you my as well stick to a fatass American SUV
