KESA a cloth for the bath to rub the skin is called kesa in armenian or turkish, that's what I thought.
But It is not in the armenian dictionary, nor in the turkish one.
Where does it come from ?

In armenian we used to have a verb: ge kesayem, ge kesayes...

Now I know it is an armenian word because I know: ksél, ksvil, ksoum - ( in the church, with saint oil)
Ksouk (palasan, odzélik).

I did not find it in the armenian dictionary because I wrote : kesa but in the dictionary it is written; ksel without e between k and s

Thank you Johannes, you are right. I remember that ksag means a small bag. It is the right translation of kesa, which we call in French:
"gant de toilette" (a glove) so it is an armenian word.

It is correct in a way.
ԹԱԹ/թաթիկ** means paw , the front end of the hand of both humans and animals. So, does թաթման mean թաթումի/ թաթաման?
My ancestors called “kesa” շփիչ/ shpich from շփել/to rub. Sometimes “shpitz/ shpotz”.
And the word “sponge” is both a noun and a verb. As in “to sponge”.

Upon further reading I realized that թաթման in fact means mitt/mitten.
