8-11 JULY: TOLMA FESTIVAL (Sardarapat, Armavir region). Tolma (Armenian national meat dish) is one of the most favorite and popular dish for Armenians. The aim of the festival is making the traditional dishes public and establishing of intangible cultural values in the name of Armenian cuisine.. Tolma preparing needs long period of time and has difficult technology. Traditional “tolma” is made from lamb and grape leaf. During the festival different types of tolma (more than 60) made by representatives of different villages and regions are represented.
