YEREVAN, June 9. / ARKA /. Every second computer in Armenia is very likely to be infected with Turkish viruses, according to a cyber security expert Samvel Martirosyan, who blamed it on the carelessness of Armenian Internet users.
Speaking at a news conference he said infection with Trojan virus is getting widespread in Armenia because users of social networks download programs containing the virus.
According to him, the virus copies the information on computers sending it to other countries. “This is not the first case of mass infection of computers in Armenia,’ he said.
To avoid such problems, he urged users not to download software of dubious origin and also install at their computers highly effective anti-virus programs.
"We can not be absolutely sure that this virus originates in Turkey, but there is every reason to believe so. Thus, huge amounts of information are "funneling out" into the hands of Turkish hackers," he said. -0-
