My prediction is Italy. Its long overdue. Although Germany being the host nation may have a strong run. I hope they don't have any bullcrap shananigans that happenned in South Korea this time around.

I like Argentina as well. They have much better chance in the Latin American world however. I'm with you on Brazil. I'll give them a bit of credit though, they always bring the ugliest team.

I was really amazed on the Czech republic's talent, they played extremely well! But unfortunately, they don't seem to be part of the WC this year

Anyway, i don't like germans, i am completely fed up from Brazil, France used to be a good team now they suck..

So i'll go for Italy (unless they end up in a penalty shoot, they are cursed )

Italy is my first choice too, but I really want England to win. Germany also has a chance and the Czechs are amazing.

I read a joke a while back about which style was more modern. The German kick and hope or the British kick and chase.

But Holland is clearly the best historical team that has not won a WC.

Have you seen that movie "Victory" with Pele and Stalone? The Germans players were portrayed exactly like those soldiers. LOL.

A few days ago, the prestigious and world renown (sic) United Arab Emirates football team invited Brazil for a friendly match in here..

I swear it was funny like hell watching those brazilian players mocking the UAE team during the first half-time.. They scored a little 1-0 and just kept playing woth the ball around the field..

Second Half time, they started to play seriously and the match ended with a simple... 8-0

Boy does the UAE team suck !

Yes, it was a festival of goals. Funniest thing was that besides Caca's goal, the rest of the 7 were scored by substitute players.

Speaking of a goal fest, Spain pummeled Slovakia 5-1.

World Cup Qualifiers update:

Spain, Australia and Trinidad and Tubago are now in.

Australia defeated Uruguay 4-2 in Penalty Shootouts, Spain tied against Slovakia 1-1 in Bratislava and Trinidad victored against Bahrain 1-0.

Breaking News: Turkey fails to reach the finals..

Switzerland came back from a 3-1 Turkish lead to finish the game at 4-2 , thus getting their ticket to Germany with an agg score of 4-4.

And finally the last team to secure their place is Czech Republic, defeating Norway 1-0 on the second leg.

The 32 list is now completed.

I also just read that long time Manchester United capitain Roy Keane has left the club on "mutual agreement."

He gave us some good memories with the Red Devils.

I was at the UAE game and they played pretty well, it was only 1-0 at half time, and they were apparently reduced to 10 men. THey certianly played better than Suadi did against Germany back at the world cup in '02, i think at least.
