A man has been charged with breaking German animal protection laws after he was caught on camera having sex with sheep. The sheep's owner became suspicious last year and installed video surveillance equipment which filmed the 44-year-old in the act, police in the western region of Suedhessen said in a statement.

"He admitted sodomising the animals and had no explanation for his actions," spokeswoman Christine Klein said.

The man, who is a Turkish national and lives in the town of Gross Gerau, faces a jail sentence of up to three years or a fine, the statement said.

Sheep sex immigrant caged

AN asylum seeker had sex with a ewe as its “male partner” looked on, a court heard.

Factory worker Hidyat Amin ? who came to Britain from Iraq ? romped with the sheep in a farm shed.

The 30-year-old Kurd was trapped by DNA evidence after his underpants and socks were found at the scene.

Shocked farmer Frank Davidson said: “The ewe was not very well and not very happy.” He told cops he feared “something funny” was going on involving his sheep and Shetland ponies.

A man had been seen acting suspiciously under a full moon and was spotted several times previously lurking in the farmyard.

On one occasion he casually smoked a cigarette before driving off, Hull Crown Court heard.

The sheep and a ram had been isolated as part of treatment for foot rot, at Mr Davidson’s farm in Preston, East Yorks.

He said he had found pants and socks nearby on THREE occasions as well as bread crumbs ? apparently used to entice the animals.

Amin was found guilty by a jury of having sex with an animal. Prosecutor Caroline Wigin said DNA swabs suggested a billion to one chance it was not him.

A COOK spotted carrying out a sex act on a pony ran home without his clothes — then rang police to say he’d been mugged, a court heard yesterday.

Married Tuncay Ozcan, 24, was caught by a dog walker who returned to his car and switched on the lights — to see the pervert pleasuring himself with one hand while assaulting the pony with the other.

Startled Ozcan fled in panic, leaving behind a pile of clothing. It included a jacket containing his wallet and identification.

He arrived home wearing only green boxer shorts and told his shocked wife he had been attacked. To back up his story, he rang 999 and claimed three men had demanded money as he returned from a nightclub.

Prosecutor Richard Wilcox said: “In order to be able to get away more quickly he said he had taken off all his clothes and run home.”

Disbelieving officers linked him to his crime through DNA tests.

And yesterday a court heard the night of shame had humiliated him and wrecked his marriage.

Ozcan, who works in a fish and chip shop, struck on common ground on which horses are grazed in Southampton.

He hung his head in shame as the city’s Crown Court heard the three-year-old Welsh pony called Rose was good natured before that attack, but was now “nervous and skittish”.

Mr Wilcox then described how the dog walker was “extremely shocked” when he turned on his lights and saw Ozcan.

Mr Wilcox said: “Rose was tightly tethered to a tree with only two feet of slack. Standing at the back of the horse was Ozcan wearing only a pair of green boxers.

“Ozcan then took flight and ran off over the grass field leading to nearby tower blocks.

“The witness noticed a pile of clothes on the ground at the back of the horse. He flagged down a police car. In an abandoned jacket was a wallet with identification belonging to Ozcan. Simulatenously police took a call from Ozcan saying he had been attacked.”

David Jenkins, defending, said Ozcan had become “close” to horses during his Turkish upbringing and liked to ride them in the field. Mr Jenkins added: “These matters are highly embarrassing.

“As a result his marriage has broken down. He apologises and says it won’t happen again.”

Ozcan admitted outraging public decency and was given a 12-month community rehabilitation order.

Judge David L Griffiths told him: “I still do not know why you behaved in this way. Obviously drink played its part but there may well be, indeed probably is, some underlying problem.”

Ozcan refused to comment.

Guard gets paid for letting sufferers of chlamydia rape street dogs in Turkey

11 September 2002: In Izmir, the third biggest city of Turkey, the Animal’s Safe House in Ortakoy has been shut down and its premises demolished.

3 months ago the Animal’s Safe House in Ortakoy, Izmir, made the headlines in Turkey when 6 dogs in the safe house were raped by several people who had broken into the premises. This time the Safe House has become news material as allegations have been made that several dogs have been raped for the reason that "it cures chlamydia".

The Turkish daily Hurriyet reported today that the guard responsible for the animals in the safe house "hired" the dogs out for people with chlamydia.

2500 signatures have been collected by animal rights activists for the closure of the safe house and has been forwarded to the local council. 90 of the dogs from the safe house have been transferred to the Buyuksehir Council Animal Safe House.

The animal rights activist Sevtap Henrich, who is responsible of the Animal Safe House in Ortakoy, said they had established that the dogs had been raped:

"This is really an incredible incident. Unfortunately we are the victims of ignorance and lack of education. This kind of activity will not cure chlamydia, in fact it can cause a lot more diseases", Henrich added.

After hearing rumours that dogs were being raped in the safe house because it was believed that it would cure clamydia, Chairman of the Animal Lovers and Protectors’ Association, Suna+ Esen Akaturk, said that she was against the demolition of the premises of the Animal Safe House:

"I am aware of the fact that this incident is disgusting. But unfortunately these kinds of incidents are the bleeding wounds of our country. Recently in Narlidere, a similar incident took place. We have taken our precautions here. I am searching for other reasons behind the demolition of the safe house. We built and paid for the safe house with money from our own pockets. They demolished our work just in two hours. We were trying to keep the safe house alive despite all the impossibilities", she said.
