TIGRAN MARTIROSYAN - WORLD CHAMPION
- Armenian sportsman Tigran Martirosyan (77kg) won the world's champion title at the
in Antalya on Thursday.
22-year-old Martirosyan, European champion, won a small gold medal lifting 173kg in the snatch. 26-year-old world champion China's Xiaojun Lu was the second with a result of 170 kg.
Tigran lifted 200kg in the jerk and became the world champion lifting 373kg in total.
Lu Xiaojun won the silver with 370kg and Egypt's Tarek Yehia came third with 356kg.
